Looking up the job descriptions of project manager, user experience, web designer, front-end developer, quality assurance, and content manager/editor, I am most interested in web designer and front-end developer. As time goes by and I get more experience, I would like to also like to be a project manager later on in my career.
I really love the feeling of being able to start a website from scratch with requirements and my creativity. I also genuinely enjoy coding. Yes, it stresses me the hell out, but it’s good stress. It’s especially rewarding when I’m able to fix something from my website that wasn’t working; I really love that feeling. I also love getting creative with the design and layout of a website. When I was little I spent a lot of time drawing (not very well lol), and despite it not being the same, designing and working on the layout of a website reminds me of the younger me. For some reason, it really excites me.
I looked for a job as a web developer and in web design. For the web developer job, I would have to look more into MySQL software. From a quick Google search, MySQL is a database management system. I would also have to look into React.js, MAMP, and get more experience with 3rd party plugins. For a web design job, I would have to look more into Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator, web marketing (analytics, SEO, etc.), CRUD applications, RESTful APIs, and database management.
